Mi nombre es Emilia Marcón, soy argentina. Nací y me crie entre el campo y el mar tal como lo refleja mi obra. (Mechongué, Mar del Plata)
La textura y los objetos incrustados han sido característicos de mi obra, pero la protagonista es sin dudas la técnica de grabado que empleo gofrando o utilizando como stencil, los bordados y tejidos de varias generaciones de mujeres de mi familia, resignificando así su historia y uniéndola a la mía. Los objetos son parte de mi colección de piedras, arena, caracoles, plumas huesos, piñas, etc., que he obtenido de la naturaleza a lo largo de mi vida, para abordar un lenguaje simbólico que me permita hablar del paisaje y de mis emociones. Podría decir que soy una paisajista simbólica, que pinto todo aquello que siento a través del paisaje que vivencio, involucrando los materiales que me rodean para expresarme. Mi obra se divide en series y cada una de ellas aborda un concepto especifico.
Hoy en día reparto mi tiempo entre el arte, el surfing, la educación y la familia; con total conciencia y entrega y como forma de vida.

The texture and the embedded objects have been characteristic of my work, but the protagonist is undoubtedly the engraving technique that I use embossing or using as a stencil, the embroidery and fabrics of several generations of women in my family, thus resignifying their story and joining it to mine. The objects are part of my collection of stones, sand, snails, feathers, bones, pineapples, etc., that I have obtained from nature throughout my life, to address a symbolic language that allows me to talk about the landscape and my emotions. I could say that I am a symbolic landscaper, who paints everything I feel through the landscape that I experience, involving the materials that surround me to express myself. My work is divided into series and each of them addresses a specific concept.
Today I divide my time between art, surfing, education and family; with total awareness and dedication and as a way of life.
